Canadian Women Golfers Inc. (CWGI), celebrating its 13th season, is a golf league for Ottawa area women welcoming members of all levels of play. What we share is enjoying a healthy and active lifestyle and an interest in taking up the game or playing more of it in a welcoming and friendly environment.

Our organized program is geared to the lives of today's women. We make it easy and flexible; no foursomes to organize and members can play at one or more league courses at a time that works for them from week to week. We make it convenient; golf games are organized at some of the nicest courses in the Ottawa area close to where our members work and live. CWGI's program allows women every opportunity to:

  • play 9 and 18 hole golf weekly, as little or as much as they wish,
  • take lessons to improve their game,
  • participate in golf getaways and special events, and
  • participate in a Handicap Program.

Best of all it's very affordable. CWGI provides the extensive and varied program just like a traditional golf club but you only pay green fees when you play.

CWGI is also a great way for women to expand friendships and network and, while we're having fun, we find ways to support charitable causes in the community.

98% of 2007 CWGI members surveyed say that they would recommend CWGI to other women. Find out why golfing with CWGI is so popular.  See What Members Say

Rule 27, Rules of Golf

You are allowed to search for a lost ball for up to five minutes, but if the group behind you is waiting frequently while you look for your ball, let them play through.
