Play Organized Games at Different Courses Each Week & Other Benefits
 

CWGI membership allows you to take advantage of an extensive offering of 9 & 18 organized games as well as other benefits, the details of which are outlined below.   

9 Hole Golf

Members may play golf at any of our 9 hole club courses during scheduled times, as often as they wish and at preferred rates. Tee times are booked by calling the course as early as when it opens the week before the scheduled day of play. Each season "9 & Dines" are planned for members.

18 Hole Golf
  

Games are planned for the season so members know in advance which ones they want to play. Games are posted each week for registration. Tee times and foursomes are organized and confirmed to participating members by email. We play at the nicest courses in the region. As an example, here are some of the ones we played at last season:

 

Anderson Links, Arnprior, Calabogie, The Canadian, Carling Lake, Casselview, Cedarhill, Chateau Cartier, Chateau Montebello, Cloverdale, Eagle Creek, Emerald Links, eQuinelle, Glen Mar, Greensmere, Grey Hawk, Hammond, Haute Plaines, Heritage, Lanark Timber Run, Le Sorcier, Loch March, Manderley, Meadows, Metcalfe, Mississippi, Mont Cascades, Montbello, Mountain Creek, Nation, Pakenham, Prescott, l’Outaouais, Renfrew, Riverbend, and Smuggler's. 

 
 
       18 Hole Weekday & Weekend Golf

Every week 18-hole games are planned. Two games in the morning (Monday in the east end & Wednesday in the west end), one on Friday afternoons some weeks and one each weekend, all at a variety of the nicest local courses in the area.  

Holiday Weekend 18 Hole Golf & Dinner

On each statutory holiday in May, July, August and September, a golf game and dinner is planned at different courses in the region.

        Golf Getaways & Excursions

There are two 2-day golf getaways planned and "Take a Day Off To Play Golf" excursions by bus to premier courses about 2 hours drive from our region.

        September Tournament and Banquet 

CWGI has a Season Kick-off Golf and Dinner Event and a September Tournament and Banquet.

 Golf Lessons & Clinics

Members can register for golf clinics and workshops for all levels of play organized by CWGI with our women golf pro partners in the east and west ends of Ottawa. 

 Membership Package

New members are encouraged to attend a complimentary New Members Orientation seminar and will receive a top-of-the line golf shirt, nametag, and membership card (which provides a member retail discount at Golf Town) as part of their membership.

For beginner golfers, CWGI provides a New (or Nearly New) Golfers Program focusing on etiquette, courtesies, on-course behavior, a personal insight on how CWGI works and an opp0tunity to participate in the Mentoring Program, where a new golfers plays 9-holes with an experienced member early in the season. This approach is designed to help beginner golfers feel more comfortable in taking up the game.
