If you are new to CWGI, you are at the right spot. Welcome!
Maybe you've heard of us through a friend or family member, maybe while searching the internet or maybe you accidentally stumbled upon us and thought, "This looks like fun!" Whatever the reason, we want you to know more about us. Here are the Top Ten Reasons we believe make the experience we offer attractive and unique.
1) Our top priority is to be welcoming and supportive. While we offer a broad range of both 9 and 18-hole golf experiences and at courses that offer different levels of challenge, the focus is always on encouraging each other and having a good time. We are welcoming and friendly. All abilities are welcome too. Did we mention that we have fun and support each other?
2) One membership, more golf. Membership gives you access to all of our games. We play at more than 30 courses throughout the season so if you are looking for more variety during the golf season, CWGI is the right place for you. It’s up to you to decide where and when to play.
3) We offer a very varied program of 9 & 18 hole golf. There are weekly 9-hole games, nines & dines, 18-hole golf 3-4 times a week, 18-hole bus excursions and getaways and an annual best ball tournament and banquet that usually attracts about 200 members. Oh, and we offer up a whole range of benefits like preferred green fee rates, a high quality CWGI golf shirt and member discounts at Golf Town. It all adds up to lots of value for members.
4) Where are my games going to be? If you primarily play 9-holes, you may want to play at the same course from week-to-week or you may play at any of our 9-hole courses. For those who play primarily 18-holes, we prepare a season plan of courses we will play and during the season organize and post 3-4 games every week for online registration. And, to help you plan your time, we email you weekly to remind you of the games coming up.
5) We organize the games for you. No more checking out tee times with courses to find one that work for everyone and then lining up others to play with. We do all that for you. Just register and show up! We play at times that are most convenient for our members. Because we make it easy to play games, members tell us that they play more golf with CWGI.
6) You only pay for games you play. Simply put, you only pay for the games you play. Play as few or as many as you wish. This flexible approach better meets the needs of today’s busy women and is more affordable than a traditional club membership.
7) You always have someone to play with. We have over 500 members so you will always have company on the course.
8) We welcome all levels of ability. New golfers find our “best practice” New Golfers Program helps them get started and get out more. Experienced golfers enjoy the number of games and the variety of courses offered every week. If you want to play golf, there is truly something for everyone!
9) Meet a great group of women who are interested in golf too. CWGI is an opportunity to expand your friendships and to network with other women from across the Ottawa Gatineau region who enjoy playing golf.
10) We make it convenient to take lessons. Did you know that women golfers outnumber male golfers 3 to 1 in taking lessons?Whether you are a new golfer or experienced, lessons help you build the skills to play. With CWGI, members can conveniently register online for the lessons that suit them best.
